2025 Winter Competition Results

PPA’s Grand Final day on 11 October 2025 at Dudley Park Bowling and Recreation Club (Inc) was another great day with four teams vying for top honours in Division’s 1 and 2. It was good to see so many members, partners and family turning up to watch and cheer on Halls Head Predators vs Gorilaz 2.0 (Div 1) and the Strikers vs Dragons (Div 2).

Division 1

Scores were neck and neck all day with no side getting any substantial lead until late in the match – the Gorilaz 2.0 got a late break on the scoreboard to be eventual Division 1 winners 13 to 11. This was a hard-fought match with some fine pool being played, it lived up to expectations as a close encounter and didn’t disappoint. Congrats to the Gorilaz 2.0 and best of luck next year to the Predators. Individual efforts go to Matty Gilmore and Stewart Wimpress with 4 out of 5 wins each, a huge effort in a Grand Final, well done guys, followed by Peter Trebley and Danny Weavers 3 out of 4 wins each.

Division 2

The Strikers jumped out of the box early and dominated with early wins. It looked like a being runaway result, but the Dragons had different ideas. Momentum took a turn in round four with the Dragons fighting back and winning 4 out of 5 frames. However, the Strikers steadied and ultimately defeated the Dragons 13 to 11 in a solid effort with Steve Hall topping the stats with 5 from 5, next Glenn Clark 4 from 5, Julien Reibel and Adam Caldow each with 3 from 5.

Well done to all who made the Grand Finals and a big thankyou to Jeremy Bower for the live broadcasting of the games and Dudley Park Bowling & Recreation Club for a great day and night.
