2026 Division 1 – Doubles Tournament Results

Peel Pool Association Division 1 Doubles Tournament was held at Dudley Park Bowling & Recreation Club (Inc) on Tuesday 14 April 2026.

Div 1 doubles was our first non-match fixture in our winter program 2026, and 24 players teamed up in a straight knock-out best of five (first to three) formats until the grand final round.

The semis saw…….

Keith Carter / Steve Hale vs David Whitelaw / Ros Johnson

and

Glenn Clark / Stuart Kingsbury vs Damien Stenhouse / Julien Riebel

The grand final match was best of seven (first to four) between

Keith Carter / Steve Hale vs Glenn Clark / Stuart Kingsbury

This match didn’t disappoint and as you would expect from such seasoned players, no quarter was given, in highly tactical match.  With the match tied up at two frames each at the half way point, Glenn Clark had a quick win in the fifth match and then Glenn / Stuart put the foot to the floor, taking the sixth frame and winning the match decisively.

Congratulations go to Glenn Clark and Stuart Kingsbury winning 4 frames to 2 over Keith Carter and Steve Hale.

Well done to all who took the time to compete on the night.  A big thank you to your committee members Julien Riebel for getting the tournament started and to Troy Ellis for finishing the night, and to our host venue Dudley Park Bowling & Recreation Club (Inc) and staff for the great work behind the bar keeping players and onlookers hydrated and happy on the night.
