NOTICES OF MOTION:
Notice of Motion proposed by Ken Futcher
I would like put forward a motion to change the format back to how it was in the 2008 winter competition. WITHDRAWN
Notice of Motions proposed by Naomi Hastings
(1) I would like to to put in a motion as long as members have paid their Association membership fees
that members are allowed to compete in the extra ordinary competitions and to compete at country week. However if members choose not to be in a team they would have to pay a 100 dollar membership fee. (this should catch the short fall on actual team membership fees) this would be a good money raiser for the the Association. I think this said however it would still be up to the country week selection committee wether a particular member is chosen for country week. WITHDRAWN
(2) That members dont have to play in the team competition to go to country week. However to qualify for country week non team playing members must compete in at least 6 extra ordinary competitions if they have been to at least two previous counry weeks and other members who have not attended at least two country weeks must play in at least 25 team matches to qualify for country week for two years before they can qualify from just entering the extra ordinary competitions. WITHDRAWN
(3) The Committee is to contact by sms two weeks prior the AGM notifying all playing members, non playing members and ex members to remind them that the agm is taking place and also sms all playing members, non playing members and ex members two weeks before each extra ordinary competition that there is an extra ordinary competition on. WITHDRAWN
(4) No more suppers to be provided. WITHDRAWN
Notice of Motions proposed by Ben Dougherty
(1) Drop the age limit of players so we are allowed under 16's if they are with their parents. DECLINED
(2) Remove the restrictions on only allowing 3 top 16 players in each team. CARRIED
(3) Set format so the captain does not choose who is playing who. CARRIED
(4) Cash prizes for winning singles competition. DENIED
(5) Spotted whites. Alex, Ben and Wayne to sponsor. CARRIED
Notice of Motion proposed by Russell Hine
I would like to see a requirement from anyone joining our association for the sole purpose of being
able to play at country week must playout the entire season with whatever team takes them.
If withdrawal from the team occurs after playing at country week, the player must play a full season
with an Association team to be considered for future country weeks. CARRIED
